Black, White and Read All Over

Last night I went to the gallery opening of “Black, White and Read All Over” showcasing Canadian comic makers in connection with TCAF. And it is fantastic! Guys with Pencils: Art Theft

I was invited back for another episode of "Guys with Pencils"to talk about...

Katie Shanahan and J. Bone have joined us this week to talk about THEFT! specifically, Art Theft. Why Katie and J. you ask? Well because they are victims of having their own pieces of artwork stolen, traced and displayed without having any source credit to the original works or creators! This is a really interesting topic and we were very lucky to have such wonderful artists who can give their accounts as to what steps they took once they realized their work had been stolen.

LISTEN HERE!

Cautionary Fables and Fairy Tales: African Editon

(Cover by Becky Dreistadt)

Hey folks! Shaggy and I were invited by our pal Kel McDonald to contribute a story to her second Cautionary Fables and Fairy Tales collection which focuses on African tales. Here's a sample from our story "Demane and Demazana" about two orphaned siblings trying to survive on their own and keep out of the clutches of an evil Cannibal (oh my!)
If you enjoyed the last collection (including our adaption of Tatterhood) this book's full of great stories by creators like Faith Erin Hicks (Nothing Can Possibly Go Wrong), Carla Speed McNeil (Finder) and Nicole Chartrand (Fey Winds).

The interview starts at 47:40 in the podcast, and we had a ton of fun, so give it a listen!
