Truly Outrageous

Sketching out Jem drawings for todays @sketch_dailies tag, not sure if I’ll have time to ink and colour, but we’ll see. 

I never watched the show as a kid, kind of missed the boat on it, but I checked out episode 1 online to research for this and OH MY GAWD. Electric guitar motorcycles, candy coloured hair, grievous betrayal from a money jar, orphanage on fire, glorious 80s everything… Jem is a TREAT and a half.

Silly Kingdom 2!

Warm-up sketches for @shaggyshan's & my 2nd "Silly Kingdom" comic. Our goal's to have it ready for Emerald City Comic Con (hope to see some of you fine folk there!)

From-memory doodle of a blue clad girl on a wintery Toronto day.  I passed her on the street a month ago and remember it was too cold to pull out my sketchbook so I took a mental pic, saving her on the inside of my eyelids, which I then promptly forgot all about until today.

 This particular comic has stuck with me ever since I read it as a kid, look at Lois rock them 80's shoulder pads!!

Work break doodle. The show I'm storyboarding on at the moment has us using sketchbook pro and there's a lovely copic marker setting I'm having fun playing with.

Daily outfit: I picked up a cute head band from Urban Outfitters that has bendable wire in the bow for easy positioning... into rabbit ears! :O :B
