The Girlamatic website seems to be having a couple server issues so I'll be uploading the next couple Shrub Monkey comics right here on my blog until that's fixed up. They'll most likely be single panel one-shots like this one (as I have nooooo time to draw right now) but my schedule should be clearing up towards the end of February :) It's good to be busy, but MAN what I wouldn't give for a clone or two...

Today's morning warm-up sketches. Warning for nekidness! (though I guess it's too late if you're reading this, hyuk!)

I like taking doodle breaks while listening to music, actually I can pretty much ONLY take doodle breaks while listening to music (if I do otherwise it feels like I'm forcing the sketches and have no idea where to take the line). These doodles were done to Clint Mansell's soundtrack for the film "Moon" which is pretty much my favourite movie right now.

Warm up sketches and some concept arts

I'd totally forgotten how important it is to do warm up sketches to loosen up in the morning (I've fallen into LOTS of bad drawing habits this past year) but starting today I'll be fixing that one. Here's today's rough doodles (plus an attempt at a self portrait). Must, keep, DRAWING.

Also, here's a sneak peek at some comic work I'm doing right now, just some searching around for character and colour. Oh man! So much to do this month!

A few more commissions from laaaaast year

Oshmagosh, longtime no update! Here's a couple more commissions I polished off right before the new year. I'm so super crazy busy right now I haven't really found any time to draw for myself (hence the lack of comic updates). I'm having so much fun storyboarding for a show right now (can't say which just yet), wish I could share those drawings with you guys buuuut I don't think I'm allowed!

Hope 2010 has been treating ya real nice so far!

Also... (cough) I found this awesome little Sailor Generator on DA that I spent a little too much time playing around on the other night (ahehe... what I need to take breaks!) The 14 year old me went into squeespasms as soon as I saw it. And yes, this is something I'd TOTALLY wear >__<
